Nonpareil & WRL Australia Complete RORO Shipment of CAT Dozer to Brisbane

PCN members Nonpareil International Freight & Cargo Services in the Philippines and WRL Shipping Australia recently collaborated on a RORO shipment of a CAT dozer from Batangas Port to Brisbane, Australia. The move showcases how experienced project cargo partners coordinate heavy equipment across the Pacific with precision, compliance, and teamwork.

RORO Loading at Batangas Port

The dozer was driven aboard the RORO vessel at Batangas Port — the critical handoff where land transport meets ocean freight. Careful ramp alignment, driver coordination, and vessel scheduling ensured the unit rolled on safely and on time.

Challenges and How the Team Overcame Them

Randy M. Abella at Nonpareil noted that the shipment presented several operational hurdles:

  • RORO vessel service from Batangas to Brisbane
  • High ocean freight cost
  • Compliance on land transport up to the port of loading (POL)
  • Compliance on shipping line requirements and schedule during holidays

We overcame and resolved the challenges before the project was executed by proper planning and processes as well as great teamwork and solid experience.

Secured Stowage in the Cargo Hold

Once aboard, the dozer was positioned and lashed inside the RORO cargo hold. Workers applied ropes, chocks, and blocking to keep the 8.6-ton unit stable for the ocean transit to Brisbane.

Partnership Across the Pacific

This project reflects the strength of Nonpareil’s PCN network. Working with WRL Shipping Australia, Nonpareil managed origin logistics, POL compliance, and RORO coordination — delivering a heavy unit from the Philippines to Brisbane with the discipline that project cargo demands.
